1. Who We Are
FlowBudget is an iOS application developed by Riccardo Nestola. Contact: support@getflowbudget.com.
2. Data We Collect
FlowBudget does not collect personal data. All data you enter is stored exclusively on your device via SwiftData and is never transmitted to us or third parties.
Data stored locally:
- Financial transactions (amounts, dates, categories, notes)
- Custom accounts
- Custom categories
- Recurring transactions
- Currencies and exchange rates
- Receipt photos (local external storage)
- App preferences and settings
Network connections:
The only network request is to update exchange rates via a public API. This request is anonymous and contains no personal data.
3. In-App Purchases (Pro)
All purchases are handled by Apple via the App Store. We have no access to your payment data. To manage subscriptions: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
4. iCloud Sync (Pro Plan)
With the Pro plan you can enable iCloud sync. Data is synced via your personal iCloud account, managed entirely by Apple. We have no access to synced data.
5. Third-Party Services
Exchange Rates
Anonymous requests to a public API. No personal data transmitted.
Face ID / Touch ID
Authentication handled by iOS via secure system APIs. FlowBudget has no access to your biometric data.
Siri & Shortcuts
Voice requests are processed by Apple on-device. FlowBudget does not receive or process voice content.
iOS Widgets
Widgets share data with the app via App Groups — a local iOS feature. Data never leaves the device.
6. Data Security
- Encrypted local database: SwiftData uses native iOS encryption
- iOS Sandbox: The app only accesses its own data in an isolated environment
- Biometric authentication: Optional Face ID / Touch ID
- Privacy mode: Hides all amounts on screen
- No internet required: The app works completely offline
7. Your Rights
- Access: view all your data in the app
- Edit: modify any data at any time
- Delete: remove individual transactions or all data
- Export: CSV or JSON backup (Pro)
- Portability: your data is on your device, not on third-party servers

8. Children
FlowBudget is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
